We at Aranyavat are actively engaged in spreading awareness about the need for biodiversity conservation through lectures from experts in the profession, field workshops and guided nature walks. This is with the view of imparting firsthand knowledge to youngsters about biodiversity conservation, habitat preservation and creating a platform for schoolchildren to be educated about exciting careers in wildlife conservation and management along with professional activities in related fields.

Guided Nature Walks & Mangrove Safari

 

The forest in the vicinity of Aranyavat is rich in bird life and small mammals, we conduct regular nature walks and birding tours with the presence of an experienced field guide. We also conduct mangrove orientation tours in partnership with experienced local boat owners and guides. This enriching experience is at locations in the midst of the estuarine mangroves along the Vashishthi river, a short 30 minute drive from Aranyavat.

 Environmental Protection & Habitat Restoration Activities

 

Under the expert guidance of eminent environmentalists, activists and in coordination with local environmental NGOs, we conduct various focused activities with the aim of creating awareness and educating young children from local communities in various aspects of environmental protection and habitat restoration.

Interactive Discussions with Experts in Biodiversity & Conservation

 

We invite experts in the field of biodiversity along with dedicated conservationists working on specific species, to conduct engaging interactive discussions with schoolchildren and focused conservation action groups. Prior booking is required for these events as they are attended by specialists who have kindly taken time out from their extremely busy schedules.

Field Studies in Biodiversity Conservation

 

We conduct regular field studies and workshops with hands-on field work in various areas of biodiversity conservation under the guidance of eminent conservationists and researchers. Our center with its associated accommodation

‘Koyari Vacation Home’ serves as a field station and base camp for various conservation activities in the region.
